Bethesda Softworks gives gamers the chance to hit the strip once more with IHRA DRAG RACING: SPORTSMAN EDITION for the PS2. Featuring new racing rules and a new, rebuilt game engine, the game gives racers all of the excitement the International Hot Rod Association (IRHA) license promises and uses the official IHRA Bracket Racing rules. The game offers several different modes and a large variety of cars and tracks. Players can choose to race in the quick play mode with little setup or take on the role of an IHRA racer in the 12-race season mode and race for the championship. Racing in the season mode nets players money to purchase cars and car upgrades, unlocks new components and vehicles, opens new tracks, and even a second season of races. IHRA DRAG RACING: SPORTSMAN EDITION features 60 different vehicles and hundreds of ways for players to customize them. All of the cars available have been recreated as accurately as possible, making gamers really feel like they’re behind the wheel. The game also features 22 courses, 11 of which are IHRA official tracks and 11 of which are fantasy tracks designed to challenge gamers. Racing novices and pros alike will be able to quickly pick up IHRA DRAG RACING: SPORTSMAN EDITION.
