King Arthur

King Arthur
Antoine Fuqua’s KING ARTHUR movie presented a more realistic picture of the great king: Arthur, a commander in charge of a squad of knights,
is sent on a mission to rescue a priest. Along the way, he comes into contact with a rebel tribe led by Merlin and the warrior-woman Guinevere. Konami’s KING ARTHUR game follows the storyline faithfully, using a series of videos and backgrounds straight from the film. As one of five playable characters, the player must complete a series of missions while slashing away at rebels and other foes. Each of the five characters has different strengths and attacks. Lancelot, for example, has greater horseback skills than the others, while Guinevere can attack enemies from afar with her bow. Players have three normal attacks at their disposal plus special attacks to help clear the 20 plus levels of the game. Each level involves two characters, so it’s only natural Konami would include a co-op mode so another player can replace the AI as the second character. Another game feature is the upgrade system. At the end of each level, players receive experience based on their performance. These points can be used to upgrade strength, defense, and other attributes. The upgrades spread across all five characters, so no character becomes too weak. KING ARTHUR will please fans of the movie and action adventure gamers as well. While there’s no magic or women living in lakes, the historical setting and realistic combat makes the game challenging and entertaining.
