Bethesda Softworks presents the NTRA BREEDERS’ CUP WORLD THOROUGHBRED CHAMPIONSHIPS for the PS2, an excting horse racing simulation game officially licensed by the NATIONAL THOROUGHBRED RACING ASSOCIATION. The game revolved around the famed Breeders’ Cup, one of the largest thoroughbred races in the world. The game features over 3,000 horses, including recreations of some of the greatest thoroughbreds of all time. Players can raise and train their own horse to race in the sweepstakes, place bets on other races, and, in Stable mode, create their own stables and original silks. Betting incorporates everything real racing tracks use, including handicaps. The game features many of the greatest tracks from around North America, including Del Mar, Belmont Park, and Keeneland. Races incorporate many different variables, including horse statistics and weather. Track conditions will be greatly affected by the rain, wind, and heat, as will horses. As players progress through the races, they will earn money, fame, and recognition, eventually making it to the Breeders’ Cup and facing off against some of the greatest racehorses ever. During all of the action, Breeders’ Cup announcer Tom Durkin will provide players with commentary and other information. Fans of horse racing are aware of how few horse racing games there are.
