Crave Entertainment’s STRIKE FORCE BOWLING for the PlayStation 2 brings all the excitement of a bowling alley to the console without any of the smoke, crowds, or rental shoes. The game features a variety of alleys and players from the mundane to the futuristic and includes a large number of play modes. Players start off by selecting a bowler from one of many, including men, women, robots, and aliens, along with an alley location from the 12 available, which range from a normal bowling alley. to a medieval castle, to the moon. Then they select ball weight, bowler position, and how much spin to put on the ball. With the right timing, the ball will shoot down the alley for a quick strike. With enough strikes, players will be able to unlock more bowlers and extras. Modes range from normal, to practice, to tournaments, all of which are standard variations on bowling. One special mode is called golf mode, which puts the pins in a different setup each frame and a specific number of rolls to knock them all down in. For bowlers who are tired of the dirty, smoke-filled bowling allies or want the experience of hurling an Earth-colored ball down an alley on the moon, STRIKE FORCE BOWLING is the perfect game.
