Game Cube players have been ensorcelled with the SUPER MONKEY BALL series for some time, and now Sega has brought the two games to the PS2 with SUPER MONKEY BALL DELUXE, which includes SUPER MONKEY BALL, SUPER MONKEY BALL 2, and some new extras. The goal of the SUPER MONKEY games is simple: gamers must guide a monkey in a hamster ball from the start of the level to the end while avoiding obstacles, stay on the board, and not run out of time. SUPER MONKEY BALL 2 even features a story to go along with the hours of monkey-ball guiding. Monkeys AiAi, MeeMee, Baby, and GonGon have to roll around picking up the bananas stolen from their village by the evil Dr. Bad-Boon. Levels include everything from MC Escher-inspired backgrounds to upbeat, incredibly cheerful music to incredibly thin bridges and active volcanoes. While the single player modes of both games will keep players busy for hours, SUPER MONKEY BALL DELUXE also features 12 multiplayer mini-games from the series that are available immediately, no unlocking necessary.
